Goalkeeper Mathew Ryan felt Brighton & Hove Albion were punished by Chelsea's quality in their 3-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge this evening.

Goals from Olivier Giroud, Eden Hazard and Ruben Loftus-Cheek took the Blues to a routine Premier League victory.

Ryan said afterwards: "They had their shooting boots on tonight and it's disappointing.

"We managed to hang in first half and make it somewhat difficult for them but they got their goal not long before half-time and the second half they came out and the little opportunities that you give them, they've got the quality to punish us. That's what they did in the end."
