Support needed for The Treehouse Project
The aim of the project is to provide a wheelchair accessible path and viewing platform into the woodlands next to the Haslemere based hospital.
Tom Hatton visits a good friend at the Holy Cross on a monthly basis and was struck that the Treehouse Project would be of great benefit to his friend and others. In order to support the project he is undertaking a 2,200 kilometre bike ride from Greenwich where he lives to the family home of his girlfriend in Agueda, Northern Portugal.

The Treehouse Project needs to secure approximately £20,000 of funding in order to be a success. A 140km trek in the Arctic by Chris Browne has already been undertaken in order to support the project. Chris endured temperatures going as low as -36 degrees centigrade and pulled all of his equipment on a sled during the successful expedition.
A Quiz Night has also been arranged at the Holy Cross Hospital on April 6. Tickets are £5 and include supper. Tom Hatton and Chris Brown will be attending the Quiz in order to talk about their experiences on their respective expeditions. Call Adam or Jo at the Holy Cross on 01428 643311 in order to get tickets. To find out more about the project, visit gogetfunding.com/the-treehouse-project.
The project is in urgent need of a Structural Engineer to put the design plans into place, and building supplies would be a really valuable form of support. Contact Tom on [email protected] or Ana on [email protected].
