A Bexhill restaurant has been named as a finalist at the inaugural Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (ARTA) for the South East region.

Bengal Brasserie, in London Road, scooped the accolade at the awards ceremony at the InterContinental Hotel, London, following a rigorous selection process by the public.

Owner Abdul Mukith said: “On behalf of Bengal Brasserie we are very grateful to our regular customers and the support they have given us over the years, without whom we would not have won this award.
