Gatwick Airport increases security after deadly blasts at Brussels Airport

Gatwick Airport has increased security and patrols in response to the suspected terrorist attack at Brussels Airport this morning (Tuesday March 22).

National media reports state that at least 13 people have died in two blasts at the Belgian capital’s airport and a third explosion at a metro station.

Dozens more are thought to have been injured in the attack.

A spokesperson for Gatwick Airport said: “The safety of passengers and staff at Gatwick is the airport’s absolute priority.
